Chat with the Consulate: France
A Conversation and Wine Tasting with the Consul General of France, François Gauthier
October 21, 2008 - Consul General of France to New England, François Gauthier, generously hosted a group of over 75 Boston International members at the French Residence in Cambridge for the second event in Boston International’s Chat with the Consulate series — and a wonderful evening for everyone present.
The Consul General kicked off the event with a talk entitled “Consulates’ Contributions: An Inside Look at the Oldest Consulate in New England,” in which he highlighted the important services consulates provide. Following the talk, the Mr. Gauthier opened the floor to an expert wine instructor, who presented on the fine wines of France’s Côtes du Rhône appellation and led a tasting of four white and red wines. The wines were complemented by a delicious selection of French finger foods.
Mr. Gauthier’s biography can be found at the consulate’s website.
